Are you ready for May 29th?

Parents for Choice in Education is here to help you make an informed choice.

STEP 1: KNOW WHERE THE POLITICAL PARTIES STAND AND KNOW THE EDUCATION ISSUES

A candidate's affiliation with a political party indicates their broad ideological stance on major issues, and can influence the specific talking points they make on certain topics.

You can find our analysis of each party’s platform, together with a link to their policies, here.

From curriculum controversies to discussions about funding, as well as laws that forbid communication with parents, we have many resources on our website to help you understand the issues thoroughly and factually.

Sign up on our homepage to stay up-to-date through our e-mailed monthly newsletters.

Peruse past monthly newsletters in the "blog" section of our website.

STEP 2: KNOW YOUR CONSTITUENCY.

Don't know your constituency? No problem! Elections Alberta has a marvelous site to find your constituency and your poll – just add your address!

STEP 3: KNOW YOUR CANDIDATES

Candidates for your area are listed below, alphabetically by last name. We did our best to reach every candidate with a request to fill out our Questionnaire.

Note: Our team has worked hard to gather as much publicly available information as we could find.  However, if you know of additional candidate information or notice any errors, please email [email protected]

ARCHIBALD, Dustin (Alberta NDP) No NDP candidate answered our questionnaire. The main office of the NDP have sent us a blanket letter that seems to speak for all the candidates. READ THE NDP LETTER HERE

STEP 4: TALK TO THE CANDIDATES

Candidates sometimes miss things in the business of an election. If they have not answered yet, please send your candidates this link to our questionnaire.

  • In person. We have created a simplified, printable version of our questionnaire, so that you can ask your candidate specific questions – or follow up on their answers on our website. If you like a candidate, why don't you help out?
  • Volunteer. Just a few hours of your time helps make a big difference, boosting your preferred candidate's chances of becoming one of the 87 lawmakers who will help set the direction of our province. Note, you can also volunteer for strong candidates who do not live in your area.
  • Donate. Help your preferred candidate reach more constituents with their message.

STEP 5: SPREAD THE WORD.

Please share this resource with others and let's equip as many people as possible to make an informed vote in this important provincial election: Copy the link of our Election 2023 homepage and share it with others via text, email and social media.
