Sexually Explicit Materials in Schools

A woman in Nanaimo recently found out that her son had been given sexually-explicit material by instructors at school. The booklet he was given was designed to promote condom use, and showed a woman putting a condom on a man while they were having sex. You can read the story here.
To their credit, school administrators in this case were as shocked as the mother, and said that this had been a mistake. However others defended the material, including the presenters in this case.
Parents have a right to control whether or not their children are exposed to sexually explicit materials. Exposing children to this type of material without the clear consent of their parents is totally unacceptable.
