Our organization strongly believes in the right of parents to make choices about the kinds of values that their children will learn in schools, and to opt their children out of the classroom if they wish to when certain controversial subjects are discussed. It is parents, and not teachers or bureaucrats, who are fundamentally responsible for children's education.

This case could have an important impact on the degree to which parental authority is recognized and respected, all across this country.
