The Fraser Institute rates high schools across Alberta on an annual basis based on their academic performance. This provides critical information to parents which they can use when selecting a high school for their children.
Certainly not every parent will use the Fraser Institute data - some will prioritize other things over academic performance, and others may disagree with the methodology they use to evaluate high schools. But it is a good thing that this information is available, as it gives parents an option in terms of something to consult when making this vitally important decision.
